WILLING
“In the long run we get no more than we have been willing to risk giving.” -Sheldon B. Kopp
What does WILLING mean? The definition of being WILLING is being ready, eager, or prepared to do something.
Being WILLING to do what is needed to be a kind person is not always easy and as you begin Day 28 of our KINDolutions challenge, being WILLING will play a BIG PART in how you participate.
Many of us grew up being taught to always be kind and generous. Yet, not everyone is willing to be kind when something is happening that they do not agree with or when someone is not being nice to them. Being kind takes a willingness which is not always easy because you must see past what may be upsetting and bring compassion and empathy to the situation. Sometimes being kind means being willing to take a new action like doing things for others that are considerate even if you are not in the mood. The question at IDareU2Bee that we always ask ourselves is: “What are we willing to do, THAT we are not doing now, that could make a difference for someone else?” Showing a willingness to learn and be open is something people will always value about you and it opens the doors to creating stronger and kinder relationships built on trust.
At www.idareu2bee.com we believe when you are willing to grow beyond your current mindset and circumstances that willingness will be the key to your success and happiness.
Today we challenge you to do a KINDNESS ASSESSMENT. The assessment is simple and at times you may struggle, yet this is where your MIGHTY COURAGE kicks in.
Do not give up, do not give in because building your kindness superpowers will have you win!
Get Ready, Get Set and GROW forward with your GIGANTIC KIND HEART.
KINDNESS ASSESSMENT DAY 28
STEP 1
- Are you willing to practice being aware of when you may not be willing to be open, to learn and to be understanding of another’s circumstances or feelings. This is a big one.
If YOU ANSWERED YES, GREAT! Scroll down to STEP 2.
If YOU ANSWERED NO, stay right here and ask yourself this question.
Why are you NOT willing to practice being aware when you are not being open to learning and being more understanding?
Think about what may be preventing you from practicing being honest. This is not easy to do, yet we encourage you to write your answers on a piece of paper or in your journal.
STEP 2
- Write on a piece of paper or in your journal a situation in your life where you were not being willing to be open to learn or understand a situation or someone else’s views, emotions or circumstances.
AND
- Write out how being willing can make you a kinder person.
NOW make today the start of practicing being willing to be open to learning and be understanding.
Thank you for participating in the Day 28 2022 KINDolution challenge.
