DID YOU KNOW THAT STUDIES SHOW THAT BEING KIND MAKES YOU MORE ENERGETIC AND INCREASES OUR SENSE OF SELF WORTH?
Kindness is not only good for our minds, but our bodies as well. Kindness has been demonstrated to promote good moods, self-esteem, empathy, and compassion in us. It can lower blood pressure and cortisol, a stress hormone that affects stress levels directly. People who give of themselves in a balanced way live longer and are healthier. Kindness may help you feel more connected to others, which can reduce loneliness, boost your mood, and improve your connections in general. Results show that a random act of kindness had a greater positive impact on self-esteem. Studies have also linked kindness to academic success and incredible vigor.
You can practise thankfulness and be kinder to yourself too. This can help you know your worth. People are skilled at vocally berating themselves, but it seldom works as a motivational tool. You wouldn’t talk to your neighbour the way you talk to yourself from time to time. This is what we call is the “good neighbour policy,” and it may be quite beneficial. So, do not say anything about yourself that you would not say to a decent neighbour.
