KINDolution Day 11 – COMPASSIONATE

KINDolution Day 11 – COMPASSIONATE

COMPASSIONATE

“Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength.”Dalai Lama

What does COMPASSIONATE mean?

The definition of COMPASSIONATE is feeling or showing sympathy and concern for others.

Being compassionate is a gift we give to ourselves and others yet is not always the way we think or behave. As you begin Day 11 of our KINDolutions challenge, being compassionate will play a BIG PART in how you participate.

It is in our nature to be compassionate; and yet, it is not always easy to actually be compassionate towards ourselves and others. Being compassionate takes courage to see beyond the situation or the way someone is acting at the moment. Everyone, every day for their entire life will always have challenging circumstances that make them behave in ways that are not always positive. Struggles can make us frustrated, angry, scared, confused and when these emotions fill our mind, it can lead to us doing or saying something that is not nice and even hurtful.  When we experience this with another person it is automatic for our brain to judge and react back in a negative way. Two negative reactions do not create a positive result but when one negative action is responded to with a kind positive reaction it can create a positive outcome.  Compassion is the #1 ingredient in having the capability and capacity to be kind.  It makes all hard situations easier and can cause a resolution to the situation that seems miraculous. All the people you love and care about need your compassionate mind, and in turn, it makes you incredibly kind.

At www.idareu2bee.com we understand that one of the hardest things to ALWAYS do is be compassionate, yet we also know that we can ALWAYS PRACTICE being compassionate because in life there are opportunities every day with every person in our life.

Today we challenge you to do a KINDNESS ASSESSMENT. The assessment is simple and at times you may struggle, yet this is where your MIGHTY COURAGE kicks in.

Do not give up, do not give in because building your kindness superpowers will have you win!

Get Ready, Get Set and GROW forward with your GIGANTIC KIND HEART.

KINDNESS ASSESSMENT DAY 11

STEP 1

  1. Are you willing to practice listening and speaking with compassion towards yourself and others, AND begin to practice identifying when you are not interacting with others in a compassionate way?

If YOU ANSWERED YES, GREAT! Scroll down to STEP 2.

If YOU ANSWERED NO, stay right here, and ask yourself this question.

Why are you NOT willing to practice acknowledging when you’re not being compassionate and practice listening and speaking in a compassionate way?

Think about what may be preventing you from practicing the gift of compassion.   This is not easy to do, yet we encourage you to write your answers on a piece of paper or in your journal.

STEP 2

  1. Write on a piece of paper or in your journal 4 people in your life you were not compassionate with and why? And also 4 people you did show compassion towards and why.
  2. Write out how compassion can make you a kinder person.

NOW make today the day you start to practice noticing when you are and when you are not showing compassion towards others and watch how you will begin to see things differently. A compassionate mind is the key to being kind.

Thank you for participating in the Day 11  2022 KINDolution challenge.
