OPTIMISTIC
“Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you.” – Mary Lou Retton
What does OPTIMISTIC mean? The definition of being OPTIMISTIC is being hopeful and confident about the future.
Being OPTIMISTIC is not always easy when you are in a challenging situation and as you begin Day 23 of our KINDolutions challenge, being OPTIMISTIC will play a BIG PART in how you participate.
Do you look at the glass as half empty or half full? Perspective dictates how you view the world and how the world views you. When you are optimistic, positive people gravitate to you, and being optimistic is a lot like showing kindness to others. In fact, the happier, kinder and more positive you are, the more others want to be like you, be around you and experience your energy. Optimism is something that must be practiced all the time because it is easier to focus on the negative things and what isn’t working out the way we want. Luckily life gives us many challenging opportunities in which to practice shifting our focus from the negative to the positive. Positive thinking inspires you to take positive actions and those positive actions will make a big difference in your life and the life of others.
At www.idareu2bee.com we believe in asking ourselves how we can turn negatives into positives so we can spread kindness to all people on the planet!
Today we challenge you to do a KINDNESS ASSESSMENT. The assessment is simple and at times you may struggle, yet this is where your MIGHTY COURAGE kicks in.
Do not give up, do not give in because building your kindness superpowers will have you win!
Get Ready, Get Set and GROW forward with your GIGANTIC KIND HEART.
KINDNESS ASSESSMENT DAY 23
STEP 1
- Are you willing to practice being optimistic during situations that are difficult? The KEY word is PRACTICE as we know it is not easy.
If YOU ANSWERED YES, GREAT! Scroll down to STEP 2.
If YOU ANSWERED NO, stay right here and ask yourself this question.
Why are you NOT willing to practice being optimistic during situations that may be difficult or challenging?
Think about what may be preventing you from practicing being optimistic. This is not easy to do, yet we encourage you to write your answers on a piece of paper or in your journal.
STEP 2
- Write on a piece of paper or in your journal all the situations in the last 30 days that you only saw the negative. Then write in your journal how you could have shifted to thinking in an optimistic way during those situations.
AND
- Write out how being optimistic can make you a kinder person.
NOW make today the start of practicing to be optimistic and witness how many people love to be around you and you love to be around them.
Thank you for participating in the Day 23 2023 KINDolution challenge.
