Styrofoam is not biodegradable. Switching to single-use options will help cut down on Styrofoam pollution.
Americans throw away 25 trillion Styrofoam cups every year.
Despite regulations across Canada encouraging the collection and recycling of Styrofoam, 80 percent of it ends up in Canada’s landfills and environment. That works out to the equivalent of 208 Olympic-sized swimming pools of styro-waste every year. That’s a lot of avoidable waste.
Spring into KINDNESS AND SHINE your BIG HEART on the world.
Now more than ever we all must come together to shine our kindness on our planet and all our natural resources.
This month in honour of springtime and Earth day on April 22nd, we at IDareU2bee.com are DARING you to be mighty, happy and GO GREEN! From practicing reducing what you use and buy, reusing things that you would throw away and recycling EVERYTHING POSSIBLE. Spring is a time for new life and new opportunities, and now you have a GIGANTIC OPPORTUNITY to show the world your KINDNESS.
This month we are acknowledging amazing leaders who are advocating for environmental justice, sharing creative ways you can turn waste into useful products and bringing some SHOCKING AWARENESS about some things you MAY NOT KNOW about how our choices can negatively impact us and our PLANET. Our goal is to share with you some facts so you may be inspired to SHINE YOUR KINDNESS ON THE WORLD.
P.S. Our founders @audrey.hlembizky and @alanna.carr__ will be taking on these activities with you! So feel free to share your experiences as they want to hear!
