DID YOU KNOW THAT COMPASSION CAN ACTIVATE PLEASURE CIRCUITS IN THE BRAIN AND MAKES YOU HAPPY?
Being compassionate can improve health, well-being, and relationships. Many scientists believe that compassion may even be vital to the survival of our species, and its advantages can be increased through targeted exercises and practice. Compassion makes us feel good. Being compassionate has been shown to activate pleasure circuits in the brain and can lead to lasting increase in self-reported feelings of happiness.
Buddhist teaching says compassion flows in 3 directions. From self to others, others to self, and self to self. When one direction of compassion is blocked, the others naturally become less productive. We may never even realize that our act of compassion made a big difference.
At IDare2Bee, we believe that you can be the change that will change the world to be a better place to live in. We are creating a future that is peaceful for all people, respectful towards all beings and a world where kindness is something as common as the air we breathe.
P.S. Our founders @audrey.hlembizky and @alanna.carr__ are excited to share the campaign with you. So, feel free to share your experiences as they want to hear!
