PATIENCE
“Trees that are slow to grow, bear the best fruit”
What does PATIENCE mean?
The definition of PATIENCE is the ability to wait for a long time without becoming annoyed or upset when dealing with problems or difficult people; and, to give attention to something for a long time without becoming bored or losing interest.
Being a steadfast and patient person isn’t always easy, especially in the face of pressure or challenging situations. To be a kind person requires a mega-dose of PATIENCE as you need to be able to persevere and respond to stressful situations or certain people without annoyance or anger. Being patient is a critical part of being kind as patience allows us to see, hear, think and feel things with a clear mind so that we are able to remain calm and react responsibly when interacting with people during challenging times. At idareu2bee.com we are all about practicing patience so we can build our hearts and train our minds to be kind.
Today we challenge you to do this KINDNESS ASSESSMENT. The assessment is simple and at times you may struggle, yet this is where your MIGHTY COURAGE kicks in. Do not give up, do not give in because building your kindness superpowers will have you win!
Get Ready, Get Set and GROW forward with your GIGANTIC KIND HEART.
KINDNESS ASSESSMENT DAY 2
STEP 1
1. Are you willing to practice being patient for the next 30 days and acknowledge when you react unkindly with others and yourself because you were being impatient?
If YOU ANSWERED YES, GREAT! Scroll down to STEP 2.
If YOU ANSWERED NO, stay right here and ask yourself this question:
Why are you NOT willing to practice acknowledging when you have been impatient and reacted unkindly with yourself and others?
Think about what may be preventing you from practicing being patient especially when your impatient reactive behaviour may cause the situation to get worse or cause someone’s feelings to get hurt. This is not easy to do, yet we encourage you to write your answers on a piece of paper or in your journal.
STEP 2
2. Write on a piece of paper or in your journal why being patient in difficult times will help improve your happiness and confidence.
AND
3. Write out how this can make you a kinder person.
NOW make today the start of practicing this for the next 30 days and witness how paying attention to when you are or are not patient builds your kindness muscles.
Thank you for participating in the Day 2 of the 2022 KINDolution challenge.
