TRUSTING
“You must trust and believe in people or life becomes impossible.” – Anton Chekhov
What does TRUSTING mean?
The definition of TRUSTING is showing or tending to have a belief in a person’s honesty or sincerity; not being suspicious.
Being trusting is not always automatic for everyone and as we begin Day 3 of our KINDolutions challenge, trusting will play a BIG PART in how you participate.
People generally have a trusting nature towards others; without this connection we would not be able to live our daily lives as we do. Trusting allows you to experience things for the first time, like taste new foods, go on new adventures and connect with people you never met before. As we grow up the times we have been hurt stay with us in our memories and it automatically blocks us from trusting ourselves and others. How often do you assume you know what someone will say or do before they even speak or do something? How often do you choose not to be friends with someone because they remind you of a bad experience? This is a natural thing you may do, yet it also prevents you from building great relationships and having the confidence in yourself to go after all your dreams and goals.
At www.idareu2bee.com we believe that when we ask ourselves how often we make assumptions of people and not trust them, or automatically tell ourselves we cannot do something and not be trusting with ourselves; we limit our opportunities and we block our ability to be compassionate and patient.
Today we challenge you to do a KINDNESS ASSESSMENT. The assessment is simple and at times you may struggle, yet this is where your MIGHTY COURAGE kicks in.
Do not give up, do not give in for building your kindness superpowers will have you win!
Get Ready, Get Set and GROW forward with your GIGANTIC KIND HEART.
KINDNESS ASSESSMENT DAY 1
STEP 1
- Are you willing to practice being trusting and acknowledging when your assumptions of people or situation prevent you from being trusting?
If YOU ANSWERED YES, GREAT! Scroll down to STEP 2.
If YOU ANSWERED NO, stay right here and ask yourself this question.
Why are you NOT willing to be trusting towards yourself and or others?
Think about what may be preventing you from practicing being trusting. This is not easy to do, yet we encourage you to write your answers on a piece of paper or in your journal.
STEP 2
- Write on a piece of paper or in your journal what assumptions you are making that prevents you from trusting yourself or others. HINT: You may believe something to be true, that may not be!
AND
- Write out how trusting others and yourself could make you be a kinder person.
NOW make today the start of practicing this and witness how paying attention when you are more trusting can improve your kindness superpowers.
Thank you for participating in the Day 1 2022 KINDolution challenge.
