Amy’s Bio:

Amy is a mother of two teenagers, an aunt of two toddlers, a youth basketball coach, and a personal support worker. She is compassionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others, and one of these ways in through her writing. She has the ability to connect and relate to many, both young and old with her words, and believes in the power of writing.

Amy started writing as a young child, to express her thoughts and emotions, and continues to do so up to this day. She understands the importance of self-expression, and believes writing is the perfect tool and outlet to help children connect to themselves, the people in their lives and the world around them.

Children today are experiencing more pressure than ever before. They have higher levels of stress and anxiety, and their voices are becoming lost beneath their fears and insecurities.

Amy wants every child to know they matter. Their thoughts, feelings, and emotions matter and through writing, they can express them, they can be creative, and they can have fun.
