For me the students are the start to the day, much like your first cup coffee, they are a source of energy. I know that when I’m facilitating, I must bring that positive, energetic but calm presence. These participants log on at 9 am every Tuesday, to watch me do/teach a craft. That for me says commitment and hopefully joy. I hope that they laugh at my mistakes and enjoy our morning conversations. I volunteered because facilitating is a skill that is essential for me to develop as I grow as an artist. Watching other facilitators teach offers me a perspective on ways to share information. It is both a learning and developing experience.
